Aruba is sunny, warm and dry all year, with temperatures around 28–31°C and a cooling trade wind. The island lies outside the main hurricane belt, so it is a reliable destination in every season.
High season runs from mid-December to mid-April, when prices are highest and hotels fill up quickly. In the low season (roughly May to November) rates are often much lower. Between October and December short showers are more common, but they rarely last long.

Checklist before you go
- Valid passport
- Online ED card, completed shortly before arrival, including the US$20 Sustainability Fee

- US dollars are accepted everywhere; you do not need to exchange money.
- Many restaurants include a service charge on the bill.
- Getting around: buses from about $2.60, fixed taxi fares
What to pack
- Reef-safe sunscreen without oxybenzone
- Light clothing, swimwear and a cover-up for town
- Sunglasses, a hat and a refillable water bottle (tap water is safe)
