I'm hoping my hubby loves Aruba as much as me, and wants to make it our regular vacation spot. Is it possible to buy into a timeshare property on the island?

I believe that my grandparents owned a time share in Aruba for a while. I don't have any experience with a time share, however, so I don't know if it works the same way in Aruba as it does in the US. It might be worth researching though!

Timeshares are notorious for not being worth the money you put out for the upkeep of them. I think I would rather save my money and stay at a nice hotel every year or every six months.

From what I understand, while in most places timeshares are a waste, if there is one place where a time share is worth it, it would be Aruba.

Thanks for the replies. I will definitely look into it but I don't want to waste my money! I suppose I was thinking about the conveniences of having a familiar place, being able to cook etc.
