The history of Aruba
Though people discovered Aruba many hundreds of years ago, it was known that this island ages even more and was occupied by Amerindians. They built a strong culture in the land of Aruba and even today you can find traces of the culture among the people. The caves in Aruba depict many pictures and drawings made by the Arubans then and they all carried names like Turibana, Bushiri and Guadirikiri which are perhaps the names of the tribes or the leaders. Soon, the Dutch people took over Aruba and their governance continues even today. But interestingly, many Arubans speak Spanish.
