Tourist Traps? was created by crassus
Are there a lot of tourist traps in Aruba? Is there a particular area that is known for having a lot of overpriced shops and restaurants specifically for tourists?

I don't know if the island has many tourist traps. There could be overpricing in some of the resorts and shops however, it may be reasonable. Just try to ask the locals for assistance when you go to Aruba. How about that?

Which locals would you ask though? Tourist traps are run by locals. You might be better checking with the concierge desk at one of the hotels

I don't think there would be too many tourist traps in Aruba. I would suggest, you go to Oranjestad when you buy things. In the capital city, you would have plenty of choices and you'll be able to avoid overpriced shops. What do you think?

I still think you would find a fair amount of overpriced shops in the capital
