Carnival safety

That would be a nice suggestion Bethoven. If you can't have a lesson in your country, you could enroll in Aruba. Self defense must be learned by everybody so that we would be safe wherever we go. Is there any karate class in the island?

Learning self-defense is a great idea. This might even be a must if you're traveling alone. No matter where you go, you should be able to protect yourself if you are ever confronted by danger. Most bad people who encounter people who know self-defense give up because they want an easy target.

Most probably Aruba has some self defense lesson for everybody. The basic moves would be enough. If one knows that, then he would feel more secure everywhere he goes. What else should be our preparation?

By the way Habagat, are you planning to enroll your whole family to a karate class in Aruba? I think that would be nice so that every member would be able to protect themselves even without the other.

I wasn't really thinking of enrolling all the family members to a karate class but that would be a good idea. When it comes to the kids, how are we able to protect them from bad guys?
