If you have trouble finding what you're looking for on your own, you can always talk to the people down at the tourist office. I'm sure that they could put you in touch with a historic society who would be very happy about your interest in Aruba's oldest house.

Well, I guess it would be better to ask the locals in the island. Aside from antique figurines, what could be the other old items, things or places that we could find in Aruba?

I think the place your looking for is Savaneta. This is actually the oldest town in the island. The old house in the place is 150 years old and it's called a cas de torto or mud hut. I wonder, do you think they would renovate these houses?

I think the oldest things that you'll be able to find in Aruba, besides the island itself, will probably be buildings and art. See what you can find out from the museum or the local university. Their anthropology department may be able to tell you something.
