The Caribbean has been known for its pirates in the 1800's. Are there museums specifically built for them or some historical sites where we can see how pirates lived in those days?

It would be fun to know about the pirates because they were once captains and crews of legitimate ships.

Oh, that would be really neat to see. I hope someone who has been to Aruba has more information on this. I would love to go to a pirate museum!

I'd love to see something like this too. Wasn't Aruba once a hide away for pirates? Maybe they have some of their older houses that once were the mansions of the pirates or is it just fanciful thinking?

I thought pirates live in the sea or maybe some caves littered with all their treasures. Who knows where they have really lived besides the pirates themselves.

That is why I wanted to see a museum about these pirates to know more about how they have lived.

In the town of Bushiribana there are ruins of an old pirate castle dating back to 1499. I'm not aware of any actual museums focusing exclusively on pirates but I'm sure you would find information at the Historical Museum or the National Archealogical Museum.

Well I hope I don't run into any Pirates when out on the Ocean. I would love to learn more about them though. I'll check the historical webiste to see if their are any museums.
