Do you plan on taking travelers checks to Aruba? Or just credit cards? I usually bring both because I think it's a good idea to have back up.

I know myself; if I bring traveller's checks I'm going to keep them in the same place as the credit card and if I lose one, I'll lose the other, lol. As a form of backup for payments, I imagine that places that don't take credit cards might not take traveller's checks, either, and prefer cash. I could be wrong, though.

It's a good point to keep in mind. Traveler checks is a good option if you don't want to bring too much cash on your vacation. Personally I would just rely on my credit card (it's a Visa) and some small cash.

I travel with my credit card and some cash as well. I can't be bothered with Travelers Checks. I didn't realize people still use travelers checks.
