I was walking alone in the beach to feel the fresh air and something came into my mind. I'm just wondering how Arubans manage to maintain the cleanliness of their beaches. Since my first visit, I have not seen empty bottles and plastics floating in the water unlike other beaches I've visited outside Aruba. Do you think local authorities are conducting inspections all the time?

No ... I've been to Aruba many, many times and I think as a small but independent island with a long heritage the people there take great pride in their environment and don't wan't to spoil it.

It's good to hear that the beaches are kept clean. I'd say Kiro is partly right, on such a small island I'd say there is great pride taken in the beauty of the island. I would guess that due to all of the tourism, there are probably some people paid to keep it clean as well. No one wants to visit a dirty beach.

Very true, I hate dirty beaches, for example VA beach is nasty. Aruba thrives off of tourism, so if people stop caring about the cleanliness of the island then people wont want to come there anymore. Pride in ones living environment is something that is lost amongst most of the world.
