When Miriam and I went, everyone just assumed we were two orthodox sisters on holiday together. We try to keep it low key, but it would be nice to be able to relax. Does anyone have an opinion?
It is not really that LGBT friendly but it is also not aggressive towards them. It is more that they will assume you are sisters or brothers or something. Their is a very very small community of LGBT there.
I think that they have a great tourism industry. They used to mine for oil and gold and that was how money was made. The tourists have improved the quality of life there. So I think they try to respect all of their tourists.
