Birdwatching on Aruba was created by Poker Jim
My buddy recommended I try birdwatching sometime when I visit Aruba. he reckons it is really relaxing but I'm not convinced. Are the tours real long with a risk of a novice becoming bored? Are there really so many birds worth see-ing?

The birds are way too beautiful to get bored. And if you do there is always other gorgeous nature, tourists, and sunlight to observe and enjoy.

Nakko makes a good point. Why not try a short tour, say a few hours, then if you like it you can do another later? It sounds like a restful way to see some more of the nature Aruba offers.

This sounds super interesting and something I hadn't considered before. How many different birds are on the island? Does anyone know? Do you do a lot of sitting on the tours or are you mostly walking?

If you can see the ruby-topaz humming bird you would be in pure delight. They are amazing and quite beautiful as well. Another great bird to see is the burrowing owl. Again you will be in awe.
