I was fortunate to find that most people on the island speak English, but I had always assumed that the native tongue of Aruba was Dutch, with maybe a little slang to it. I have just recently learned that there is a name for this "slang", which is Papiamento. This is probably old news for most people here, but I thought I would share, just in case there were others like myself, who didn't know
