Our 19 year old daughter has been offered a job as a live in nanny for a family with three children in Aruba. Has anyone had any experience with this kind of thing? The family assures us it can be done legally, but we are still a little bit leary about it.
It sounds like she would need a work visa. How did she come across these people? Sending your kid to a foreign place to live with people you don't know can be very unsettling, but if you do a background check and everything is legitimate then it might work out to be a good experience for her.
She would need to check with Aruban embassy that is closest to you and see exactly what their requirements are. This sounds like an exciting opportunity for her. Has she ever been to Aruba before?
