Will I Need a Transformer in Aruba was created by horselover
Since we are from the United States, all of our electrical items are 110 voltage. Will these work in Aruba, or will we need to bring a transformer with us?

The voltage is not as problem as it's the same on Aruba as the US and Canada. You may run into a small problem with the actual plus though. Technically they are the same as the American version but it is wise to take an adapter as the grounding and polarisation requirements are not the same for both countries.

How can we know what kind of adaptor we will need? When I went to look for one, there were several different kinds and I had no idea which one to buy.

Hi Travelbug. It's a bit complicated to try and explain, especially without actual pictures to show you the two types of plugs.
Here
is a link which should do a better job of it. Hope this helps.

Chipper, that link you provided was great. It cleared up all of my doubts, and now we shouldn't have a problem finding an adaptor that will take care of any problem.
