Fishing by Shooting

Is it alright to use guns to shoot fish in Aruba? We won't use bullets but arrows instead. We have this modified rifle for it to shoot arrow at a fish.

I highly doubt that it is legal, because from what I understand, even spear fishing (normally involving shooting spears while underwater) is illegal. Feel free to fish with a rod from the shoreline, though.

So I don't need to bring my modified gun then. Shooting a fish is much more fun than waiting for the fish to bite the bait. Ah well I can do it at home so I will make do with fishing rods while in Aruba.

Yeah, it's better to fish the old way in Aruba using bait and lures (though I don't think fishing by shooting is a new technique). I don't think it's legal after all. There are not only many fish but also many visiting people in Aruba, so this gun things may get them feeling uncomfortable.

I don't like to fish very much while I'm on vacation. We do that a lot at home but we fish and release. As I said, I'm not big on fish to eat so there isn't any point in killing them if I won't eat them.

I don't mind eating fish if they are certain species. There is some seafood that is too strong for my taste though. I look forward to trying all sorts of things while I'm there. But I don't think I'll go fishing either while I'm there. Unless I can find someone to take me deep sea fishing, then I'll go.
