Review restaurant El Gaucho, Aruba

According to a local bartender El Gaucho was thé place to be for the best steaks on Aruba island.

Well.. he was right! I never saw a huge steak as served over there and so delicious I never eat before!

The restaurant itself is located in the old town of Oranjestad, you can reach it simply by foot from the small harbor.

So, if you like steak, go to El Gaucho!

If you like meat (BIG steaks!!) this is the place for you. Don't expect to sit outside, as this is not possible. We were there round 5 pm and I was so cold because of the airco, but maybe it will be better later at night when the place is busy. Never seen steaks as huge as these... and so juicy..! I am not a meatlover (my boyfriend is though) and I enjoyed my broccoli soup and salad :rolleyes:.

We visit this restaurant yesterday.
After a long walk we arrived at 18:00 at El Gaucho. This restaurant is just outside the center of Oranjestad and it is not possible to sit outside.
There were already many guests at this time.
The decoration is nice, typical Argentinean. The service is good and professional.
I ordered the recommended T-bone steak. This thing is 22 onz. Pfff what a piece, but very good. They serve the food on wooden dinner plates.
We did not order a dessert. We had clearly enough.

We will certainly go back to this restaurant.

It is then a great steak for everybody. I am a bit excited to see the actual size of the "huge" steak. The food seems to be a great satisfaction. Do they offer great drinks as well?

Since my husband and I are huge fans of steak we willdefinitely be visiting here while we are in Aruba. Sounds like it has a very nice atmosphere and I can't wait to see the size of these steaks!
