Hmmmmmm, that's strange. Is it because they may have tanned the leather in some substance which may be toxic? Most of it is common sense but there are a few strange banned items on there.
Do they mean leather souvenirs from Haiti or all souvenirs from Haiti? Unless this is a very recent change you would think they would want you to buy souvenirs from Haiti to help them economically.
