Aruba Rembrandt Regatta: 2010's Sailing Event

In the month of August 2009, the first Aruba Rembrandt Regatta event took place. The participants competed with their yachts, sunfishes and beach catamarans from the 14th until the 16th of August. The three day festivity really became the latest sailing event in Aruba.

The event was truly full of action. There were even over 37 sailing vessels during the first Rembrandt Regatta competition. A number of national and international participants signed up for the sailing event the other year. The event was open to open class, cruising and raising yachts. Sailboats, beach cats and the sunfish class were also allowed to join the competition. Even though the wind condition wasn't so stable during those days, the Rembrandt Regatta went well and it even ended up fun.

The participants were allowed to join the competition right after filling out the event's form during the first two days. The racing class participants were required to have a valid CSA digital rating certificate dated 2008 or 2009. However, the fun or cruising class participants were only asked to complete a simple form. This has made them cruise and enjoy the event even more.

This year, the second Rembrandt Regatta will soon happen on the 13th, 14th and 15th of August 2010 in Aruba. Cafe Rembrandt is very glad to announce its full preparations for the event with the help of the organizing event committee of Aruba. Even if the courses and sailing instructions will only be given to the participants on the event itself, the organizing committee as well as the other sponsors is in full cooperation to make sure that the event becomes even bigger than the previous year's Rembrandt Regatta.

A shuttle bus was even prepared by Aruba's event coordinators to make sure that the people in the event will become at ease. Mount Gay even created a challenge that is yet to be announced. They revealed that a special wooden cup will be given to the person who will win the challenge. This wooden cup contains a 5 liter Mount Gay Rum which will be awarded at the Beach Party in Eagle Beach.

Then on August 14, 2010, a 1k plus 2k swimming competition is said to partake at 5 pm. The event will still take place in Eagle Beach. The Earplugs has been invited to the event and they have already confirmed their performance as a sign of support for the Rembrandt Regatta. After that, a beach party evening that is guaranteed to be full of great music is something that people should also look forward to in this event.

On the 15th and 14th of August, 2010, Mount Gay will open by 10 am. People can just order their favorite Mount Gay mixes. For those who love some other refreshments, Ben and Jerry's ice cream parlour can also be found at the place. Everybody can absolutely take time to enjoy the event together with these refreshments.

The Aruba Rembrandt Regatta of this year is still about to happen. No one really knows how exciting and fun the event could be. But, one thing is for sure, windsurfers, sailboat and yacht enthusiasts and several different spectators will surely see this sailing event as one of the events in Aruba that people will always look forward to
