Strictly travel friends

Does anybody have friends that you only see when you are on vacation together? I know a couple who meets up with another couple every year in Aruba, but they never see each other any other time. I think it is an interesting friendship.

I think it's a wonderful idea. I love my friends dearly but when I go away to Aruba it is to get away from it ALL. Having a friend to share the get away with would be great.

My folks have these friendships. They have been meeting two different families on Aruba for a few years. I met one of them years ago but I can't really remember it well. As far as I know they never really co-ordinate this but leave it as a casual thing. It's kind of neat I think.

Wow! That's what real friends are! I have a friend. We've seen each other way back 2003 but until now we still communicate and tell silly stories. Hope we can travel to Aruba one of these days. So, did the two friends do the meeting annually together with their family?
